EVA Foam Boat Flooring Design Partner

Hello,
I install EVA foam boat flooring and looking for a partner to handle the modelling/designing side of the business. The process begins with 3D scanning boat decks. Then I trace the flooring in a 3D program snapping each node to the meshes surface. Then use Rhino 8 to project the 3D lines onto a flat surface if the deck is flat. If the deck or panel is curved we will use patch or NURBS plugin to fill the closed line (creating a new curved surface) then go to surface tools -> unroll so the drawing is now flattened to 2D and has the same out line length as the 3D curve.
Once we have accurate panels in 2D we then get to design the EVA foam flooring for the customer. Such as using affinity designer, adobe illustrator or rhino 8 if you’re good with program. I talk and show the customer some of our patterns we have vector files for and can forward this to you. This deck layout with design then gets sent of to a factory for CNC machining of the foam then I will install the foam deck on the boat.

Can you let me know if this is something you would like to join me in doing? I’d do the 3D scanning / factory ordering / installing foam deck. While you would be doing the tracing of the deck from the 3D mesh scan and design work once converted to 2D panels. I do this work professionally and work will be ongoing. It may be difficult to learn first couple designs but it’s doable and gets easier with more decks we do together.
