3D Digital Model for Organic Architecture Masterplan

Job ID: 40051171

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I am seeking an experienced 3D designer or architectural modeler to translate a graduate-level masterplan into a clean, accurate, and fully organized 3D model. The project site is an island surrounded by water, and the design language is intentionally organic—featuring curved massing, fluid circulation networks, and seashell-inspired over-water villas. This model will feed directly into my thesis visualization workflow, so precision, clarity, and organization are essential.

Project Overview

The core objective is to build a well-structured 3D model that captures the spatial logic, hierarchy, and formal qualities of the masterplan. The pathways are the narrative backbone of the project: their flow, connections, and subtle material differentiations must be immediately legible in three dimensions. Building forms are moderately complex, emphasizing soft, sculpted geometries instead of rigid orthogonal structures. One primary building requires a simplified interior (basic layout, walls, cores, and floor plates), while the others need only accurate exterior envelopes. The villas sit lightly above the waterline and share a shell-derived geometry that must be modeled with clean curvature, symmetry, and watertight surfaces.

Rendering, lighting, and entourage are not required—this is solely a modeling and file-organization task.

Software Requirements

Preferred: Rhino (.3dm)

Accepted: Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Archicad, or any tool capable of high-quality free-form modeling

Exports: Native .3dm is ideal. Lossless exports such as .STEP or .OBJ are acceptable as long as layer naming and structure remain intact.

Key Deliverables

Pathway System

Continuous, readable flow across the site

Clear hierarchy (via layers, naming, or color-coding)

Smooth curves and precise surface/solid transitions

Building Massing

Accurate external geometry for all buildings

Soft, organic forms—not boxy approximations

One key building to include simple interior planning (walls, cores, floor plates)

Over-Water Villas

Shell-inspired, symmetrical forms

Clean, smooth surfaces with no kinks or breaks

Fully watertight solids suitable for rendering workflows

Model Cleanliness & Organization

Logical, intuitive layer structure

No stray curves, duplicate geometry, or unjoined edges

Correct normal orientation across all objects

Grouping, naming, and hierarchy should be consistent and easy to navigate

Timeline

Total duration: 7 days from project start

Midpoint review: A progress check-in (model screenshot or draft file) halfway through to confirm direction

Ideal Freelancer

You should be comfortable working with organic architectural geometry and confident in producing clean, production-ready 3D files. Attention to detail, technical precision, and file hygiene are essential. If you can deliver a model that is both visually coherent and structurally organized, I would be happy to collaborate with you.
