Develop an Plane Model for X-Plane Simulator
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a complete Kolb Firefly ultralight recreated for X-Plane, built natively in Plane-Maker so it flies and looks like the real aircraft. The priority is a believable pilot-seat experience: realistic flight dynamics that capture the Firefly’s light-wing loading, accurate exterior and cockpit visuals, and working basic VFR instruments.
Scope
• Aerodynamics & performance tuned in Plane-Maker to published specs and pilot reports.
• High-fidelity 3-D exterior and fully modelled open cockpit so users can lean around, read labels, and see airframe flex.
• Functional steam-gauge panel: ASI, altimeter, slip-skid, tach, CHT/EGT, plus simple radio and transponder.
Deliverables
1. .acf and all associated Plane-Maker files ready to drop into X-Plane 12.
2. Optimised OBJ files, textures, and normal maps (PBR).
3. One-page change log with every revision so I can track tweaks to airfoils, control deflections, and weight & balance.
Acceptance
If the aircraft will lift off hands-off at the published 27 mph stall, cruise at 63 mph, and stability feels right through steep turns and slips, we’re good. Visuals should be frame-friendly yet crisp in VR; gauges must match X-Plane datarefs.
I’ll supply photos, POH excerpts, and eyewitness notes as soon as we start. Let me know your typical turnaround on test builds and we’ll schedule feedback flights.
