Detailed Hard-Surface 3D Gun

Job ID: 40078736

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m commissioning a skilled 3D artist to model a modern firearm with crisp hard-surface detailing. The final piece should look production-ready: clean topology, tight bevels, and no visible shading artifacts when lit in a standard PBR workflow.

Because the gun is modern, I’m after realistic proportions and believable mechanical parts—pins, rails, safety switches, magazine release, and all the small textural flourishes that sell authenticity. Surface wear, subtle edge highlights, and physically accurate materials are welcome, provided they remain grounded in reality rather than drifting into stylised sci-fi.

Preferred tools are entirely up to you; Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or similar paired with Substance Painter or Quixel work perfectly, as long as the delivered assets import cleanly into Unity/Unreal without broken normals.

Deliverables
• High-poly source file
• Optimised game-ready low-poly (.fbx or .obj) with UVs unwrapped and non-overlapping
• 4K PBR texture set (Base Color, Metallic, Roughness, Normal, AO)
• A brief read-me explaining mesh structure, material assignment, and any custom shader tweaks

Acceptance criteria
• Tris count sits within 10–30 k and matches the visual fidelity of current AAA shooters
• No ngons; consistent edge flow suitable for subdivision if needed
• Clear naming conventions for every mesh and texture

If this aligns with your expertise, share a portfolio link to similar hard-surface weapon work and a quick outline of your expected turnaround. I look forward to collaborating on a weapon model that looks stunning from every angle.
