Handrail Brackets — Design Brief (3 variants, PA6-CF, diagonal option) - Fusion 360
Shared context
• Purpose: kids’ bunk-bed safety handrail.
• Dowel: Ø34.5 mm wood dowel.
• Mounting board thickness: 18 mm.
• Primary loads: backward/forward and downward (upward not a concern).
• Material & process: PA6-CF, 3D-printed.
• Orientation rule: print so the dowel bore/pocket is in the XY plane (perimeter/hoop strength).
• Fastening/anti-creep: set screws used everywhere—into the dowel and at both wall/board interfaces (add set-screw features).
• Board-mounted brackets use a saddle base (strap over the board with downturned legs on both sides), ≥2 screws per side.

Variant A — Wall Bracket (flush)
• Mounts directly to the wall near one end of the rail.
• Through-hole for Ø34.5 mm dowel (light clearance).
• Flat back face for wall contact with wall-fixing holes/slots + set-screw provision to lock the bracket.
• Add small lead-in at the bore mouth; generous fillets at stress points.
Variant B — Center Riser (saddle base, through-hole)
• Mounts on the 18 mm board via saddle base with ≥2 screws per side.
• Vertical riser; at the top, a through-hole for Ø34.5 mm so the dowel passes through.
• Riser height (no overrides, inside Bambu Studio’s allowed space):
• Straight placement on the bed: ≈232.8 mm from board top to dowel centerline.
• Diagonal placement (within Studio’s allowed area): ≈329.2 mm from board top to dowel centerline.
(These are geometric maxima derived from the printer’s default safe envelope and the dowel radius; actual part may be a few mm shorter in practice to accommodate the dowel holder geometry and keep clear of the front-left exclusion zone.) 
• Include set-screw boss to lock the dowel; fillet riser-to-strap and riser-to-head transitions.
Variant C — End Riser (saddle base, blind pocket)
• Same saddle base on the 18 mm board with ≥2 screws per side.
• Vertical riser; at the top, a blind pocket that captures the Ø34.5 mm dowel tip (end-stop).
• Riser height (no overrides): same maxima as Variant B — ≈232.8 mm straight, ≈329.2 mm diagonal (subject to the same practical notes). 
• Provide set-screw to secure the dowel tip inside the pocket.
