3D Design of Gemmasta Machine Splash Guard
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
Description:
I’m looking for a 3D designer to create a flexible splash guard attachment for a Gemmasta cabbing machine (see attached photo).
The guard should help prevent side spray from the grinding wheel while still allowing easy removal for cleaning and wheel changes.
Key Requirements:
• Designed to slide onto the side shroud approximately 40 mm deep for a snug friction fit.
• Made for 3D printing in a flexible filament (e.g. TPU or similar).
• Should curve naturally with the machine’s housing to block water spray without interfering with wheel rotation or the drip feed.
• The inner curve must match the contour shown in the reference image (outline provided).
• Must be removable — no screws or permanent attachment.
• Aim for ease of printability on a standard 3D printer (≤ 250 mm bed if possible).
• Optional: include a small lip or edge to redirect water downward.
Deliverables:
• Printable STL and STEP (or Fusion 360) files.
• Rendered preview images of the final design.
• Small adjustment round after first draft.
