Design Futuristic Self-Balancing Micro Mobility Pod based on Toyota mobi
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Title: 3D Concept Design – Adult Self-Balancing Micro Mobility Pod
We are looking for a talented industrial designer / 3D concept artist to create a first concept design for a new personal mobility vehicle.
The idea is an adult version of a small futuristic mobility pod, inspired by compact micro mobility concepts such as Toyota Mobi, but built on a Segway-style self-balancing platform.
This is not a normal car. It must look like a compact self-balancing micro vehicle designed for urban mobility.
## Core concept
Create a small enclosed personal mobility pod for one adult.
It should combine:
* The compact cockpit feeling of Toyota Mobi-style micro vehicles
* A Segway-style self-balancing two-wheel platform
* Weather protection for rain, snow and wind
* A futuristic but realistic production-friendly design
* A premium, safe and comfortable user experience
## Important design requirements
Maximum dimensions:
* Max length: 119 cm
* Max width: 84 cm
* Max total height from ground: 140 cm
Wheel / platform:
* Only two main wheels
* Wheels must be placed in the center/middle area of the vehicle, like a Segway self-balancing platform
* Wheel size: 16 inch
* Tire width: approx. 15 cm
* Tires should look like airless / puncture-free tires, similar to Michelin Tweel / Uptis concept
* The platform must visually communicate self-balancing technology, not a normal four-wheel car
Seating / cockpit:
* One adult seat
* Seat height from ground: approx. 45 cm
* Backrest angle: approx. 10 degrees reclined
* Designed for an adult user, up to around 195 cm tall and 110 kg
* The user should be able to enter from the front
* The cockpit should feel like a helmet with a large visor
* The visor / front canopy can open and close
* The design should protect against rain, snow and wind
Safety / usability:
* Low center of gravity
* Stable and confidence-inspiring design
* Include room visually for small emergency support wheels in the four corners, but the normal driving mode should clearly be two-wheel self-balancing
* Compact enough for bicycle-lane / micro mobility use
* Comfortable enough to feel much safer and more premium than an electric scooter
Style direction:
* Futuristic but realistic
* Clean surfaces
* Simple manufacturable body
* Durable plastic / kayak-like shell feeling
* Friendly, not aggressive
* Should look like a next-generation mobility device, not a toy and not a normal car
## Deliverables
Please provide:
1. Front view
2. Side view
3. Rear view
4. Top view
5. 3/4 perspective render
6. Simple interior view showing seat and controls
7. Basic dimension annotations
8. Notes explaining the design choices
## Important
The key challenge is to make it look:
* Adult-sized
* Compact
* Self-balancing
* Safe
* Weather-protected
* Realistic to manufacture
* Clearly different from a normal car
The final design should be suitable as a first visual concept for investors, prototype discussions and future CAD development.
Please do not design a normal four-wheel mini car. The most important part is that the vehicle has two central wheels and visually works like a Segway-style self-balancing micro vehicle.
