Custom Plywood Sub Box Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have the subwoofers and the vehicle ready—I now need a fully-detailed design for the enclosure. The box will be built from plywood and finished with a carpet wrap, so the drawings must account for board thickness, bracing, and any edge radiuses that might telegraph through the carpet once it’s stretched and glued.
I haven’t settled on the acoustic style yet; I’m open to a well-tuned ported/vented, a compact sealed, or even a bandpass layout if it genuinely suits the drivers’ specs. Your design should therefore start with a quick modelling pass (WinISD, BassBox, or similar) to confirm air-space and tuning before you lock in the cut list.
Deliverables I expect:
• A dimensioned 2D cut sheet showing every panel, brace, and port piece
• A clean 3D model (SketchUp, Fusion 360, or comparable) that I can rotate and measure
• A brief spec sheet summarising internal volume, tuning frequency, port area/length (if used), and expected F3
2× Pioneer IMPP 450W 12-inch round subwoofers
1× Bazooka TAV141 10-inch triangular subwoofer
