Custom Charcoal Meat Smoker Build

Job ID: 40214446

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m ready to move from store-bought units to a purpose-built charcoal smoker that can comfortably hold three to four racks of meat. My priority is a rock-solid stainless-steel construction that maintains steady, even heat while still giving that classic charcoal flavor profile.

What I need from you is a complete, fabrication-ready package—something a local metal shop (or an experienced DIY fabricator) can use without having to guess about dimensions, tolerances, or airflow. I already know the basic size I want; now I need the professional design expertise to make sure the firebox, chimney height, dampers, and insulation all work together.

Key deliverables:
• Fully dimensioned CAD drawings (DWG or SolidWorks preferred)
• Cut/parts list specifying stainless grades, thicknesses, and quantities
• Airflow and heat-distribution diagram with temperature targets (225–275 °F cooking zone)
• Step-by-step assembly instructions, including weld locations and any gasket or seal recommendations
• Brief maintenance notes so I can keep corrosion at bay and the temperature dialed in

If you’ve designed or fabricated charcoal smokers before, I’d love to see examples or photos of finished builds. Looking forward to collaborating on a smoker that will outlast the cheap big-box models and turn out consistently great barbecue.
