Convert Tool Sketches to CAD
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have several hand-drawn sketches—nothing more than basic outlines with rough dimensions—showing concepts for a small line of hand tools. I now need those ideas translated into precise, production-ready CAD files so I can move straight into prototyping.
You will start from my scans of the sketches and, through a short round of clarification, flesh out any missing details such as tolerances, fillets, and material thickness. The end product should be fully parametric 3D models (STEP or SolidWorks native preferred, plus STL for quick prints) accompanied by 2D drawings with key dimensions called out for machining.
Once models are complete, a final pass of minor tweaks may be required to ensure everything meets common manufacturing standards.
When the files open cleanly in SolidWorks/Fusion 360 and my prototype shop confirms they’re workable without re-drawing, the job is done.
