Convert Sheet Metal PDF to 3D
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have a simple first-angle technical drawing of a sheet-metal panel saved as a PDF. I need this 2D information rebuilt in SolidWorks so that I can use it downstream for quoting and nesting.
Scope
• Recreate the geometry as a single SolidWorks part file, capturing the panel’s overall shape, bends, cut-outs, and any flanges or stiffening features shown.
• Produce an isometric view that matches the drawing’s orientation for quick visual reference.
• Keep the model at an intermediate level of detail—accurate dimensions and main features are essential, but thread call-outs, hardware, or surface finishes are not required.
• Maintain the original first-angle projection logic when translating dimensions so the model aligns perfectly with the provided PDF.
Deliverables
1. SolidWorks part file (.SLDPRT) of the panel
2. Screen-grab or PDF of the isometric view
3. Optional neutral file (STEP or IGES) if exporting is already part of your workflow
Acceptance Criteria
• All lengths, hole diameters, bend radii, and angles match the supplied technical drawing within normal sheet-metal tolerance.
• Isometric view clearly displays in-plane and out-of-plane features.
• File opens without errors in SolidWorks 2021 or later.
The PDF is ready to send as soon as we start; I’m hoping for a quick turnaround once the job is accepted.
