3D Car Geometry Optimization Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m handing over a detailed 3ds Max car model that looks great but is far too heavy for real-time use and slightly off in a couple of areas. Textures and lighting are already dialed in, so the only work required is on the geometry itself: lower the polygon count while preserving the silhouette, and correct the proportions to match the reference blueprints I’ll supply.
The job in a nutshell
• Retopologize or cleverly decimate the mesh so it runs efficiently in game engines without obvious loss of detail.
• Tweak wheelbase, panel spacing, and overall scale so the model lines up perfectly with my reference.
• Keep existing UVs, object names, and layer structure intact; no changes to materials unless absolutely unavoidable.
Deliverables
• Cleaned-up 3ds Max (2022 or earlier) .max file
• FBX export for quick tests
• Short change log noting key fixes and the final triangle/quad counts
