CAD Designer Needed: 2D to 3D Conversion for Industrial Rotomoulded Plastic Product
Overview: We are an engineering and fabrication company seeking an experienced CAD designer to convert 2D engineering plans into a manufacturing-ready 3D model (STEP format).
The product is a large-scale industrial panel designed for Rotational Moulding. We require a freelancer who understands the specific constraints of this manufacturing process (draft angles, wall thickness consistency, corner radii) to ensure the model is production-ready.
Scope of Work:
- Review provided 2D dimensioned PDF drawings.
- Create a clean, high-fidelity 3D model in STEP format.
- Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles for rotational moulding (plastic).
- Provide a brief revision round to ensure all details match specifications.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar professional CAD software.
- Specific experience designing for Rotational Moulding is essential.
- Ability to interpret 2D engineering drawings accurately.
- Attention to detail regarding organic shapes and pattern repetitions.
