CAD & 3D-Print Prototype

Job ID: 39822008

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I have early sketches and partial dimensions for a small consumer product that combines fixed elements with a couple of hinged or sliding features. I now need a SolidWorks specialist to turn these rough numbers into an accurate, watertight model that can be printed in plastic for proof-of-concept and later handed straight to a mould-maker for polypropylene production.

You will help me finalise the remaining dimensions, add the functional detailing for the moving parts, and make sure the design meets standard draft, wall-thickness and tolerance rules for injection moulding. Once the geometry is locked, I want to run a quick FDM print, so the first set of files has to be sliced-friendly (no overhang traps, clean manifold surfaces). After I have verified fit and motion, we’ll do one pass of refinement aimed at mass production.

Deliverables
• Editable SolidWorks file (full feature tree)
• Prototype-ready STL optimised for common desktop FDM printers
• STEP/IGES files prepared for polypropylene tooling
• 2D drawings with key dimensions, tolerances and section views
• Exploded or assembly diagram illustrating the moving parts
• Short material note confirming PP grades and any suggested additives

All work is under NDA; full IP and native files transfer to me on final payment. If you have a proven track record with consumer products that mix static shells and articulated pieces, let’s talk timelines and milestones right away.
