CAD Models for Specialized Suspension Rings
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m looking for a skilled mechanical or product designer to create detailed CAD models (STEP files) for a collection of custom suspension rings that I’ve designed. These rings will be manufactured and tested for strength, so both engineering accuracy and design fidelity are essential.
The designs combine artistic geometry and load-bearing function, and will be made from aluminum and stainless steel.

Aluminum Rings (2 designs):
1. 7-Ring Honeycomb – a lightweight lattice-style ring with seven interconnected circular cells.
2. 4-Hole Honeycomb – a compact, symmetrical honeycomb design with four main holes.
Stainless Steel Rings (7 designs):
1. Triskelion Ring – 9 inch diameter
2. Triskelion Ring – 6 inch diameter
3. Standard Ring – 9 inch diameter
4. Standard Ring – 6 inch diameter
5. Pentagram Ring – 9 inch diameter
6. Pagoda Ring – 9 inch diameter
7. Crescent Ring – 9 inch diameter
Each design should be engineered for structural integrity while maintaining its symbolic or aesthetic form. Rings must be suitable for CNC machining, laser cutting, or waterjet fabrication from plate or billet metal.

Project Requirements:
Deliverables:
9 individual 3D CAD models (2 aluminum, 7 stainless steel).
Each model delivered as a STEP (.stp or .step) file ready for prototyping.
Optional: 2D dimension drawings (PDF or DWG).
Design Criteria:
Geometry must balance strength and aesthetics (no thin stress-prone areas).
Include rounded edges/fillets where load-bearing.
Provide exact outer/inner diameters as specified (I will supply these).
Compatible for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) later — clean geometry, closed solids.
Must reflect accurate scale and proportions for practical use in suspension and rigging contexts.
I Will Provide:
Reference sketches, design concept images, and notes on each ring.
Material specifications (6061-T6 aluminum, 304 or 316 stainless steel).
Target dimensions and expected load direction.
