Goal: Design a low-profile, athlete-safe chest-mounted POV camera enclosure (not a generic GoPro mount). Prototype-ready for 3D printing.
Must Fit (V1 Internals)
• Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W (65×30 mm)
• Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 Wide (IMX708) + CSI ribbon
• microSD permanently installed (target 256GB)
• Power PCB stacked with Pi (target total stack thickness ~10 mm)
• LiPo battery retention (capacity TBD; design should support ~2 hr option)
Key Design Requirements
• Low-profile + rounded edges (no snag points)
• Stable chest mount interface (rail/slot or rigid backplate) with anti-rotation
• Protected CSI ribbon channel + strain relief
• Replaceable polycarbonate lens window + gasket
• Clear aperture Ø14 mm, Window OD Ø18 mm, Thickness 1.5 mm PC (2.0 max)
• Lens-to-window gap ≤2.0 mm
• Gasket 0.5–0.8 mm silicone/TPU (10–20% compression)
Deliverables (Non-Negotiable)
• Full assembly STEP + individual part STEPs
• Print-ready STLs
• 2D drawings PDF with key dims/tolerances
• Exploded view + basic BOM
• 2 revision rounds
• Full commercial rights
