ABS 3D-Printed Handheld Case
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I already have accurate 3D models for the LED, ESP32, breakout board and Li-ion battery that must ride inside a palm-sized enclosure. What I need now is an experienced product or enclosure designer who can turn those component files into a printable ABS case suitable for a production-intent prototype.
The enclosure must:
• seat all four parts securely while letting me pop them out again for inspection or replacement
• feel comfortable in the hand, with a natural grip contour and no sharp edges
• leave openings for the LED lens, USB-C charging port and a small reset button without exposing the electronics unnecessarily
I am printing in ABS, so please keep wall thickness, tolerances and draft angles consistent with that material. A two-part snap-fit shell with optional brass inserts for screws is fine as long as it remains easy to assemble and disassemble.
Deliverables I’m expecting
• native CAD file (Fusion 360, SolidWorks or similar)
• watertight STL ready for FDM printing
• a simple exploded view or screenshot showing how each component is positioned inside
If you have a portfolio that shows previous handheld or electronics enclosures, that will help me gauge fit for this quick but important job.
