Wooden Puzzle Cube CAD Design

Job ID: 40363136

Budget: $10 – $100 USD

I need a complete AutoCAD model of an eight-piece, interlocking mechanical cube that assembles to roughly 3.0" × 3.0" × 3.0". The cube will ultimately be machined from wood and left with a natural finish, so every surface and joint has to respect realistic woodworking tolerances—tight enough for a satisfying “snap” fit, loose enough to avoid sanding headaches or seasonal movement.

Your task starts with the digital world: build each of the eight pieces as separate 3-D solids, then confirm the full assembly works in AutoCAD with no collisions or impossible moves. I will review clear, dimensioned drawings of every part as well as an exploded view that shows the order in which the pieces come apart and go back together. If you have suggestions about which hardwood will hold the tolerances best, I’m open to them, but the model should remain material-agnostic so I can decide on oak, maple, or another species later.

Once the geometry is locked, document it so a woodshop—or a CNC service—can reproduce the set without guesswork:

• Native .dwg file with fully constrained parts
• Exported step/iges or stl for CAM verification
• PDF drawing packet showing orthographic views, overall and critical dimensions, plus a short assembly guide

I’ll provide additional constraints such as allowable clearances and any branding recesses after we start, but if you work comfortably with AutoCAD’s parametric tools this scope should feel straightforward.
