Validate Silicone Mold STEP Files

Job ID: 40476455

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I need a fresh set of expert eyes on several consumer-product STEP files that my silicone moulder keeps rejecting. Their feedback points to two recurring problems: walls that dip below the minimum thickness and some tricky geometry that refuses to knit into a single, watertight solid.

All I’m asking for is a thorough validation pass—not a redesign. Open each file in your preferred CAD platform (SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or a comparable solid modeller), run the usual “solid-check” and draft analyses, and tell me exactly where the trouble spots are. If you find lightweight fixes that keep the intent intact—small fillets, shell adjustments, or a tweak to a questionable surface—please note them, but don’t alter the source. I’ll handle any edits once I understand the sticking points.

Deliverables
• A brief report for each file listing:
– Confirmation it is or isn’t a true solid.
– Wall-thickness callouts below our 1.5 mm minimum.
– Any non-manifold edges or self-intersections causing the geometry issues.
• Mark-up screenshots or CAD annotations showing every flagged area.
• A final go/no-go verdict per part so I know what can leave my desk with confidence.

If you can turn this around quickly and keep the feedback crystal-clear, I’ll have plenty more files coming your way.
