USPTO Simple Mechanical Patent Drawings

Job ID: 40156624

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need formal drawings for a mechanical utility patent and every sheet must pass USPTO scrutiny on first review. Before I reveal any sketches or dimensions you will be asked to accept the platform NDA, and once awarded you will sign a brief IP Assignment confirming the work-for-hire nature of this project and my full ownership of every file and derivative.

The task itself is straightforward for an experienced patent illustrator: translate my rough concept images into clean, high-resolution line art with the correct views, reference characters, and margin conventions. You may follow the standard USPTO guidelines for line weight and shading; no custom styling is required beyond that.

When the set is complete I will need:

• Vector line drawings in print-ready PDF
• Matching, layer-organized CAD files in DWG format

Please attach or link at least one or two examples of patent drawings you personally prepared that were successfully submitted in 2025 or 2026, preferably for mechanical inventions. Mention any tools you commonly use—AutoCAD, SolidWorks DraftSight, Illustrator, or others—so I can gauge compatibility with my own workflow.

Turnaround and revision timing can be discussed once you have the spec sheets in hand. I look forward to working with someone who knows the USPTO rulebook inside out and enjoys delivering spotless figures the examiner can approve on sight.
