USB Fan Housing CAD Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m creating a compact USB-powered desk fan and need a purpose-built housing engineered around a 75 × 75 × 30 mm centrifugal blower (side intake, top outlet). My top priority is maximum airflow efficiency, so the internal ducting must guide air cleanly from the intake to two top nozzles while keeping pressure losses to a minimum.
Key technical requirements
• Integrate the specified blower with a secure mount and clear service access.
• Two discrete outlet nozzles fed by well-shaped internal ducts.
• Elevated base that hides the USB cable and offers simple cable routing.
• FDM-friendly geometry: all parts must fit within a 240 × 240 × 240 mm build volume, respect ≥1 mm wall thickness, and avoid excessive overhangs. A multi-part assembly is perfectly fine.
• Target material: PLA, so please consider shrinkage, cooling, and strength factors appropriate to that plastic.
What I expect to receive
1. Native CAD files (your preferred software) plus STEP and print-ready STL files.
2. Assembly instructions highlighting orientation, hardware (if any), and post-processing tips.
3. 3–5 photorealistic renders showing the product from key angles.
4. Full ownership of all files upon final payment.
