Two-Part Silicone Vacuum Casting Mould
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a complete design for a two-part silicone vacuum-casting mould that will be used strictly for prototype runs. The parts themselves are already modelled; what I’m missing is a production-ready mould layout that includes the split line, gates, vents and pour spouts, all optimised for silicone casting under vacuum.
Here’s what I’m expecting from you:
• Review of my existing 3D part file (STEP) and confirmation of its suitability for a two-part silicone tool.
• A detailed mould design delivered in editable CAD (SolidWorks or Fusion 360 preferred) plus a watertight STL that I can send straight to my CNC/router or 3-D-print bureau.
• Clear call-outs for alignment keys, air-release vents and pouring gates, with suggested durometer and wall-thickness guidelines where relevant.
• Assembly and demoulding instructions or a short annotated PDF so my workshop team can fabricate and use the tool without guesswork.
If you’ve designed silicone vacuum-casting moulds for prototype runs before, I’d love to see a couple of examples in your reply so I can hit the ground running.
