Truck Water Tank CAD Design -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Requiring a plastics/mechanical engineer to design 3 x rigid poly water tank systems for truck mounting, sized approximately:
-Tank 1: ~8,000L
-Tank 2: ~13,000L
-Tank 3: ~15,000L
Each tank needs:
-Rigid HDPE/polyethylene tank (rotomoulded), UV-stabilised, baffled to reduce surge
-Chassis mounting points rated for on-road heavy vehicle vibration/load (ADR compliant)
-Manhole, vented filler cap, overflow, drain
-Full outlet kit: suction, gravity discharge, isolation valves, camlock/BSP fittings, level gauge
-Water cannon (adjustable jet-to-fog, rotating/elevating mount)
-Rear dribble bar, adjustable width, pressurised and gravity-fed options
Deliverables:
-3D CAD (assembly + parts) for all 3 sizes
-2D manufacturing drawings, tolerances, BOM
-Mounting/structural calcs (FEA summary)
-DFM recommendations for local production
Requirements:
-Proven tank/fluid-system or heavy vehicle equipment design experience
-Strong CAD + manufacturing documentation skills
