Traditional Three-Car Garage Plans
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a full set of architectural plans for a three-car garage that will sit beside my existing home and connect to it with a covered portico. The new structure has to read as an organic extension of the house, so please follow the same traditional detailing—siding profiles, window proportions, trim depths and any other cues you pick up from the photographs and measurements I’ll supply.
Key attributes to capture
• Layout: three full-size bays with standard overhead doors, overhead doors must be at rear of building, and enough turning radius inside for easy access.to existing single car garage.
• Extras: a loft running the length of the garage for boxed storage and seasonal items, plus an allocated corner for a small workshop (bench, tool wall, 240 V outlet).
• Roof: hip style that mirrors the main roof pitch.
• Connection: an open breezeway/portico tying rooflines together while keeping rain off the walkway.
I’ll send you the existing floor plans, site survey, and plenty of exterior photos. From you I’m expecting:
1. Scaled construction drawings (foundation, floor, loft framing, roof, electrical layout).
2. Exterior elevations and at least one section showing the loft access.
3. Basic materials schedule so my builder can price siding, roofing, doors, and structural lumber.
4. A simple 3-D model or rendered views to confirm massing before final sign-off.
All files should arrive in both PDF for easy sharing and the original CAD format (DWG or similar) so my local engineer can stamp them if required.
