Tractrix Horn 3D Modeling
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I already hold the full set of acoustic calculations and cross-section profiles for a compact Tractrix horn intended for my home-audio setup. The overall length must stay under 200 mm, yet maintain the flare and throat/exit diameters I will supply.
What I need now is a clean Shapr3D build based on those figures, returned to me as an STL that is ready for direct printing or CAM tool-path generation. The inner flare has to follow the true Tractrix curve, with walls modeled at the thickness I will specify, and a rear mounting flange integrated per my sketch.
To keep things straightforward, here is the acceptance checklist for hand-off:
• Native Shapr3D file with fully parametric history
• Watertight STL exported at 0.1 mm resolution (no non-manifold edges)
• Overall model length ≤ 200 mm with throat, mouth, and bolt-pattern dimensions matching my sheet
Once I load the STL in Cura and confirm it slices without repair, the job is complete.
