Tabletop Pouch Sealer & Labeler CAD
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a compact, bench-top machine that seals clothing items inside plastic sleeves and applies a label in the same pass. I already know the overall footprint I want; what I need now is a SolidWorks or Fusion 360 expert who can turn that concept into a complete, manufacturable model.
Core functions to model
• A heat sealing mechanism sized for garment pouches
• A short index conveyor system that feeds the sleeves
• A labeling unit integrated just after the sealer
• An auxiliary in-feed that guides folded fabric directly into a continuous roll of plastic, much like a “conveyor-into-sleeve” setup
Scope of work
– Build a fully-parametric 3D assembly with clear sub-assemblies for each function above.
– Produce part drawings and a basic BOM so I can source off-the-shelf components wherever possible.
– Run a simple motion study to confirm that the conveyor indexes cleanly and that the sealing jaws close with uniform pressure.
– Provide export files (STEP, STL) for quick-print prototyping.
Acceptance criteria
1. Sealing jaws must deliver even pressure across a 300 mm width.
2. Conveyor index accuracy ±0.5 mm over a 150 mm stroke.
3. Label placement repeatability within ±1 mm.
4. All parts must be either COTS or easily machined on a small CNC.
A background in pouch sealing, bagging, or similar small-scale packaging machines is essential; I’d like to see at least one prior project that shows you have solved these kinds of alignment and heat management issues before.
