Surveillance UAV Concept Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m planning a new unmanned-aircraft platform focused on aerial surveillance across both urban and open rural settings. The airframe must carry a stabilised camera for high-resolution photography and stay aloft long enough to cover extended patrol routes without frequent battery swaps. Agility in tighter city corridors is as important as steady, efficient cruise over farmland, so I’m looking for a balanced design rather than a pure high-speed racer.
Here’s what I need from you: a full conceptual and preliminary design package that ties together aerodynamics, propulsion, power management and payload integration. Working in SolidWorks, CATIA or similar, please size the airframe, choose materials, propose the propulsion system, and show how you’ll mount and isolate the camera. Include weight and balance calculations, battery endurance estimates, and a performance forecast for mixed-environment missions. If you use CFD or XFLR5 to justify lift-to-drag assumptions, even better; I want the data behind the geometry.
Deliverables
• 3-D CAD files (native + STEP)
• Performance and endurance report with calculations
• Bill of materials and component sourcing list
• Renderings or brief animation that illustrates camera field of view
I’ll review the CAD for manufacturability and the report for consistency between theory and claimed flight time; a clear link between numbers and design choices will be my acceptance criteria.
