Steel Structure Brick Lining Design
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I will send you the existing .stl of the steel frame (about 8 m² of surface). I need you to develop a neat, repeatable brick-lining system that hides every face, curve and bend while staying as modular as possible. Standard bricks are 100 × 75 × 50 mm and must be used wherever they fit; gaps between adjacent bricks are 0.5 mm. Where the steel changes angle a custom brick is required, but please radius the outside corners so the lining looks continuous and the gap tolerance is maintained.
Final production data has to arrive in STP so it can drop straight into the fabricator’s workflow; please also send PDFs so I can review everything without special software.
Deliverables
• General arrangement drawing showing the full layout on the structure
• Complete, itemised BOM indicating count of standard bricks versus each custom shape
• Detailed steel fabrication drawings (plates, brackets, fasteners, any interfaces)
• Individual drawings/models for every custom brick with radiused corners and 0.5 mm clearance noted
Keep the system simple, maximise the number of untouched 100 × 75 × 50 mm bricks, and flag any spot where that size truly will not work. If anything about the geometry is unclear, just ask and I’ll clarify right away.
