SolidWorks Motorboat Design & Simulation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have an idea for a high-performance bangka-style motorboat and need it turned into a full 3D model in SolidWorks, then validated through simulation. You will start from the rough concept I’ll share (sketches and reference photos of the traditional outriggers) and develop a clean, build-ready hull and structure.
Once the geometry is set, I need three simulation passes inside SolidWorks (or an integrated tool such as Flow Simulation and Simulation Premium):
• Hydrodynamic analysis to understand resistance, trim, and expected top speed.
• Structural and stress analysis on the hull, stringers, and outrigger arms to confirm safety factors at typical operating loads and in rough-sea slamming scenarios.
Your deliverable package should include the native SolidWorks files, a neutral format (STEP/IGES), and short PDF reports summarising each simulation with screenshots, boundary conditions, assumptions, and key results. If you prefer a different CFD/FEM package for higher accuracy, let me know first—results must still be imported or referenced back in SolidWorks.
I’ll review the final model for manufacturability and the simulation reports for clarity. Payment releases once the boat meets my target displacement, projected speed, and minimum 2.0 safety factor in critical areas.
