SolidWorks Machinery Part Design & Prototype
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have a machinery component that needs to move from concept to a build-ready state in SolidWorks. I will share overall dimensions, functional requirements, and the space envelope; from there, I need you to generate a clean 3D model, create fully toleranced drawings, and flag any manufacturability concerns. Once the CAD package is final, I also want guidance on a physical prototype—material selection, off-the-shelf hardware to source, and simple jig or fixture ideas that will let me verify fit and function in the shop.
Please highlight projects where you have taken a mechanical part all the way through SolidWorks modelling, drawing release, and into a first-article prototype; those real-world results matter more to me than theoretical designs. Familiarity with common machine-shop processes (milling, turning, laser cutting) and rapid methods such as SLA/SLS printing will be a plus, as the prototype route may combine both.
Key deliverables
• Native SolidWorks part and assembly files
• Fully dimensioned 2D drawings (PDF & DWG)
• Exploded view or short assembly guide for the prototype
• A concise bill of materials with supplier suggestions
