Solid A-4 Skyhawk CAD Model

Job ID: 40346672

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a production-ready 3D model of the A-4 Skyhawk in Blue Angels livery. The file must be delivered SOLID in STEP, IGES, or OBJ (no polygons, facets, or mesh data). I am building composite/aluminum molds, so every surface has to be continuous and draft-friendly.

Sectioning
The model must arrive pre-split into Wings, Stabilizers, Canopy, and the Intake section. Please add clean parting planes and locator features so the halves will register precisely once machined.

Detail level
Although moldability is the prime concern, I still want the airframe fully detailed: accurate dimensions, correct airfoil profiles, panel lines, rivets, and other surface features typical of the Blue Angels demonstration jets. Landing gear is not required.

Scope of your work
• Research authoritative drawings, manuals, and photos to nail the geometry and proportions.
• Build the solid in a parametric CAD system (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, NX, or similar) so minor tweaks are easy.
• Apply uniform wall thickness where hollowed, maintain draft where needed, and flag any undercuts that can’t be machined in a two-piece mold.

Acceptance criteria
1. STEP/IGES/OBJ files open error-free and show as single, manifold solids.
2. All four sections meet flush with ≤0.1 mm gap.
3. Panel lines and rivets remain sharp after a 0.25 mm machining radius is applied.
4. No negative draft angles unless clearly identified.

If you have previous aircraft tooling or scale-model experience, please include a link or screenshot so I can gauge fit and finish. I’m ready to start as soon as I see a brief plan of attack and an estimated turnaround.

Please do not respond if you lack the ability to understand the importance of detail and design.
