Simplify Wiimote Scan to Solid

Job ID: 40386329

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

I have an STL from a 3-D scan of a Nintendo Wii Remote and need it rebuilt as a clean, watertight solid. The project is strictly about the exterior: no internal ribs, screw bosses, or the original battery-door break-up.

Scope
• Convert the scan into three separate solids:
– Top shell
– Bottom shell (battery compartment closed as one continuous surface)
– “B” button as its own part so it can be positioned or printed separately.
• Keep the outside contours and key dimensions very close to the scan; minor smoothing or simplification is fine where the mesh is noisy.
• Ensure proper parting lines so the two shells mate accurately.
• Output STEP files for each component.

Acceptance
If the new STEP overlays the original STL within normal scan tolerance (±0.3 mm on most surfaces) and all three bodies are manifold solids that open in Fusion 360 without repair flags, the job is done.
