Scan to DWG Plan Conversion

Job ID: 40352910

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I have between six and ten oversized paper plans that have already been scanned. I need each one rebuilt as a clean, editable DWG so I can integrate them into our current CAD workflow.

Scope of work
• Trace or intelligently convert all linework so the geometry is crisp, accurate, and layered logically (walls, dimensions, text, etc.).
• Apply the following edits while you draft: update several text blocks, adjust a few diagram elements that have shifted over time, and add new call-outs/annotations that I will mark on the scans.
• Keep sheet size, scale, and title-block information exactly as on the originals.

Deliverables
1. A separate AutoCAD-compatible DWG for each plan.
2. All requested changes incorporated and ready for immediate plotting.
3. Fonts, external references, and any custom linetypes packaged in a single ZIP so nothing is missing when I open the files.

Acceptance criteria
• Dimensions in the DWG match the scanned plans within 1 mm tolerance.
• Text is fully editable (not embedded raster).
• Layers are named clearly and logically.
• No orphaned objects or stray pixels remain.

You will receive the high-resolution scans and a markup PDF detailing every change. If you use AutoCAD, DraftSight, or a similar tool and have a reliable eye for precision, this should be a straightforward drafting assignment.
