STEP Model Optimisation for Manufacture
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I already have a silicone-filter model saved as a STEP file. Before I send it to the manufacturer I need the data cleaned up and re-exported so that it meets their strict import criteria:
• STEP AP203 schema, units locked to millimetres
• Overall drawing tolerance set to ISO 2768-M
• Surface count and unnecessary meshes reduced while every critical surface feature remains exactly where it should be—no loss of functional geometry
At this stage I’m still waiting to hear which CAD platform they will load it into, so producing the most standards-compliant AP203 STEP file is essential. If you spot anything that might cause a downstream translation fault, please flag it and correct where possible.
Turnaround is urgent; once you’ve smoothed and optimised the file I’ll run a quick visual check and push it straight on to the toolmaker.
