Robotic Café Motor & Gear Design

Job ID: 40396537

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m refining an automated café concept and now need a specialist to engineer the motor-and-gear train that drives the internal robotic mechanisms. Exterior styling and user interface are already covered, so this brief is limited to the interior drivetrain.

The job
You will size, select and integrate the motors, gearboxes and supporting components that move the dispensing arms, actuators and conveyors. Your work should balance performance with manufacturability and be ready for hand-off to my fabricator.

Key performance goals
• Precision and accuracy
• Speed and efficiency
• Durability and ease of maintenance

Expected deliverables
• 3D CAD assembly of the complete drive train (STEP or SolidWorks)
• Motor and gear calculations (torque, duty cycle, backlash, life estimates)
• Bill of materials with sourcing suggestions
• Brief maintenance plan outlining lubrication intervals or service points
• Short video or simulation capture that demonstrates expected motion profiles

Please leverage tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or ANSYS if you already have them, and feel free to propose BLDC, stepper or servo solutions alongside planetary, harmonic or custom gear sets as you see fit. If you’ve designed high-precision automation before, especially in food-service environments, I’d like to see examples.

I’m ready to begin as soon as the right engineer comes forward and can answer any technical questions promptly.
