Hello,
We are working on a retrofit toilet seat mechanism and are looking for a CAD designer to convert a fully-defined mechanical concept into manufacturable CAD models and drawings.
*Project Overview*
The product is a spring-biased toilet seat ring lifting mechanism that:
Keeps the seat ring upright by default
Allows manual pull-down without snap-back
Is fully retrofit on standard ceramic WCs
Does not interfere with the lid
Uses a torsion spring + cam/lifting arm (no motors)
*What I Will Provide*
A complete CAD handoff ZIP (concept diagrams, interfaces, constraints)
*Dimensional references*
Hinge shaft → seat ring inner edge ≈ 9 cm
Cam interaction width on seat ring limited to 2 inches
Retrofit constraints (existing WC mounting holes, seat freedom)
*Scope of Work*
Create parametric CAD models for:
Mounting bracket
Hinge shaft
Torsion spring (spec-level)
Cam / lifting arm (2-part adjustable design)
Ensure:
Seat ring remains free-rotating
Cam provides lifting torque only
No over-travel beyond seat inner diameter
Deliver:
STEP files (manufacturing)
STL files (prototyping)
Assembly & exploded views
Motion simulation screenshots
Basic 2D workshop drawings
3D animation for working principle
*Key Design Constraints*
Must sit flush on ceramic WC surface
No increase in rear seat height
No snap-back (controlled return via friction/damping)
Simple, low-part-count design preferred
*Manufacturing Intent*
Materials: SS, glass-filled nylon, spring steel
Processes: CNC / injection molding
Designed for small-batch manufacturing
