Remote Waterjet CAD Programming

Job ID: 40422805

Budget: $8 – $15 CAD

I run a busy water-jet cutting service in Orlando and need an experienced CAD programmer who can generate clean, ready-to-run toolpaths for metal parts. All source drawings arrive in assorted formats, but I will give you the master DXF files; those are the files you will work from and return.

Day-to-day work involves:
• importing or cleaning the DXF,
• nesting parts for material efficiency,
• assigning lead-ins/outs and kerf compensation,
• posting the job file for our Flow water-jet (FlowPath/FlowCut), and
• exporting a clear PDF setup sheet that shows pierce counts, cut time, and material utilization.

Although FlowPath/FlowCut is the primary environment, I sometimes ask for minor edits or fixture design inside Autodesk Fusion, so familiarity with both platforms is important.

Deliverables for each job:
1. Updated DXF with any geometry corrections
2. FlowPath (.fpc) or FlowCut file ready to load at the machine
3. Nesting layout PDF with run time and water/abrasive estimates

Turnaround is usually 24 hours from assignment; larger runs will be scheduled case-by-case. All collaboration is remote, so consistent communication and file-sharing discipline are essential.

If you have solid FlowPath/FlowCut experience, understand the nuances of cutting metal on a water-jet, and can hit deadlines reliably, I’m ready to start assigning parts this week.
