Remodel 3D Scans to STEP/STL
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have several raw 3D scans (picture attached) that need to be rebuilt as precise, production-ready CAD. The rebuilt geometry must mirror the originals yet be fully parametric, then exported in both STEP and STL. I will send you the scans (STL files) via chat on request as they are too large to attach to the project.
Note that for the outlet cover model (the largest object), it is only the part in the red rectangle that has to be modelled.
After the initial clean reconstruction, I’ll ask for two rounds of functional edits on every part: first to tweak key dimensions, then to add a few new features not present in the scans. Because the parts will be used for high-resolution 3D-printed prototypes, surface fidelity and fine detail are critical.
I’m comfortable if you work in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar reverse-engineering tools—as long as the final files open cleanly in any standard CAD package.
You should ideally have experience of such remodelling from prior projects.
Deliverables for each scan
• Native CAD file with editable history
• STEP file (.step / .stp)
• High-resolution watertight STL, ready for slicing
I’ll provide prompt feedback on each milestone so we can lock geometry before moving on to the modification phase. If that flow works for you, let’s start with the first scan.
