Rail Clip CAD Prototype
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need a complete 3D model of a plastic rail-and-groove locking clip that will first be 3D-printed and later transition to injection molding. The part must slide smoothly into an existing rail channel, engage with a snap-fit lock, and hold a round pipe firmly in its circular cradle. Strength, accuracy, and printability are critical, so please build in proper wall thicknesses, functional tolerances, and sensible draft angles from the outset.
Core design features
• Rail-sliding base that matches the given groove profile and prevents wobble
• Integrated snap-fit locking feature that keeps the clip from backing out under load
• Circular holder sized for the pipe’s OD, with enough clamping force to stop rotation
• Uniform wall sections wherever possible to ease flow in future molds
I will supply the exact rail and pipe dimensions as soon as we begin. You’re welcome to work in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or any other professional package, as long as the final files meet the format list below.
Deliverables
1. 3D model: STEP + STL ready for printing
2. Native CAD file (SolidWorks or Fusion 360)
3. Fully dimensioned 2D drawing (PDF or DWG)
The job is complete when the model prints without interference, the snap-fit engages securely by hand, and the drawing reflects all critical dimensions and draft angles.
