Prototype Progressive Die Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a complete progressive die designed to produce a stainless-steel 304 part for a prototype run. The goal is to have every operation—blanking, bending, drawing, and any other required forming—integrated into a single die so that the finished piece comes off the press in one hit.
You will work from my dimensional drawing of the part (supplied after award) and deliver:
• 3D CAD model of the entire die set
• 2D fully-dimensioned manufacturing drawings for each plate, punch, and insert
• Strip layout showing material utilization and station-by-station progression
• Exploded view or assembly instructions that clarify build order and critical tolerances
Preferred tools are SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA, but I’m open to other industry-standard platforms as long as you can provide STEP and DXF outputs. Please design for a standard 80-ton mechanical press; list any press-specific requirements if they differ.
Acceptance criteria
1. The strip layout must keep burr direction consistent and material waste below 15 %.
2. All forming radii must meet SS304 minimum bend guidelines to avoid cracking.
3. Hole and feature positions must hold ±0.05 mm in the simulation or calculated tolerance stack.
4. All files open error-free in the stated CAD package and in neutral formats.
If you have recent examples of similar prototype progressive dies, send screenshots or brief descriptions with your bid so I can gauge fit.
