Prototype CAD Model for Consumer Product

I have a new consumer-facing product in mind and I’m ready to move from early sketches to a production-ready prototype. I need an experienced CAD designer who specialises in prototype design for product development. Your task is to create a fully detailed 3D model that captures both the external aesthetics and the internal mechanical fit, making sure every part can be 3D-printed or machined without surprises.

Alongside the main model, I’ll need any supporting 2D drawings that manufacturers typically request—dimensions, tolerances, assembly views, and exploded diagrams. I work mainly with STEP and STL files for rapid prototyping, so please plan to deliver those formats as well as the native file from your preferred platform (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, etc.).

I will provide hand sketches, functional notes, and reference photos the moment we begin. If we find small engineering issues during modelling, I’d appreciate quick iterations so we stay on schedule.

Acceptance criteria
• Complete 3D model reflecting all functional and aesthetic requirements
• Clean, manufacturable geometry suitable for 3D printing and CNC
• Exported STEP and STL files plus native CAD file
• Brief drawing set covering critical dimensions and materials
