3D Print Design for Faux Stained-Glass

Hello,

I am working on a charitable Wind Phone memorial project and would like to hire you to help convert an existing stained-glass style drawing into a professional file suitable for 3D printing.

Project Goal

I want to create a simulated leaded stained-glass window frame that looks authentic, but will not use real lead or real glass.

Instead:

* The “lead came” framework will be 3D printed
* The openings between the came lines will later be filled with tinted casting resin
* The finished piece should look like a traditional handcrafted leaded glass panel

Finished Size

* Overall size: 36 inches wide x 11.5 inches tall
* Includes a 1/2 inch perimeter border at top and bottom only

What I Am Providing

I will provide:

1. The current black-and-white pattern drawing
2. SVG vector trace files
3. Reference images showing the desired appearance

What I Need You To Do

I need you to professionally clean up and rebuild the supplied drawing so it becomes a true fabrication-ready 3D print design.

Specifically:

1. Clean and Correct the Pattern

* Make all lead lines uniform and precise
* Ensure all cells are closed properly for resin filling
* Correct any awkward intersections or weak spots
* Preserve the artistic appearance of the pattern

2. Create Realistic Lead Came Geometry

All visible black lines should become simulated lead came with:

* 1/4 inch face width
* Rounded traditional lead profile
* Proper height/depth for realistic appearance
* Slight handmade character if appropriate

3. Add Interior Resin Support Channel

The printed came should include an internal channel or retaining geometry so that when resin is poured into each opening, it is properly contained and supported.

The concept is similar to traditional stained-glass came holding glass, except resin will be used instead.

4. Add Realistic Solder Joint Details

At intersections, please model subtle soldered connection marks so the finished frame looks like genuine leaded glass craftsmanship.

5. Printing Considerations

Please design the model so it can be successfully printed in PLA or similar material.
This will require dividing the panel into three sections that can be joined cleanly after printing.
The three panels will be glued together in different sequences to create six different 36” wide windows.

Please consider:

* Structural rigidity
* Flatness
* Paintability
* Ease of sanding and finishing
* Hidden seam locations if split into sections

Final Deliverables Requested

1. STL files ready for printing
2. Source CAD files if available
3. Any recommended print notes or assembly instructions
4. Three printed panels to demonstrate the viability of the files created

End Goal

I want to hand the final files to a 3D printer and receive a finished frame that convincingly looks like a real antique leaded stained-glass window framework, ready for painting (if necessary) and resin fill.
