Preschool Motor Skills Toy Design
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
I’m developing an educational toy aimed at preschoolers (ages 3-5) that strengthens motor skills and hand-eye coordination. I need an industrial designer with an engineering mindset to take the idea from rough concept to production-ready files.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
• Concept development – multiple sketch options that clearly illustrate the mechanics and play pattern.
• Detailed 3D CAD models ready for injection-molding and safety compliance review. Preferred platforms are SolidWorks or Fusion 360, but I’m open if you work in a comparable package and can supply STEP files.
• Basic mechanism engineering to ensure smooth, safe movement suitable for small hands.
• Material and finish recommendations that meet global toy-safety standards for the preschool market.
• A concise bill of materials and exploded views for manufacturing partners.
• Optional but appreciated: simple renderings or a short animation that demonstrates the toy in use.
Acceptance criteria
– All parts pass a 3 + kg pull-test in the model.
– Small-parts regulations (≤ 31.7 mm) are addressed or mitigated.
– Final deliverables include native CAD, STEP/IGES, and PDF drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
