Precision Plastic Clip Prototype Creation

I’m looking for a highly skilled prototype developer to assist with the design and development of a precision plastic clip. This will involve taking a concept through to a working prototype, with a strong focus on accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.

Requirements:

Exceptional CAD skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
Ability to produce precise technical drawings (manufacturing-ready)
Experience designing small components such as clips, brackets, or similar mechanical parts
Access to 3D printing for rapid prototyping and iteration
Strong understanding of materials (preferably aluminium/stainless applications)
Attention to detail is critical

Scope of Work:

Review concept and provide design input
Create detailed CAD model and drawings
Produce 3D printed prototypes for testing
Iterate design based on fit/function feedback
Prepare final design suitable for manufacturing (e.g. stamping or fabrication)

Location:

Must be able to meet in person
Within 15km of Mulgrave VIC (3170)

Ideal Candidate:

Mechanical design or product development background
Experience with prototyping for manufacturing (DFM knowledge)
Practical, problem-solving mindset
