Precision CAD Drafting for Competition Geometry Diagrams
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m looking for a skilled CAD designer to produce 5 highly accurate geometric diagrams used in a competition setting where precision is critical and small drawing errors can cause large real world inaccuracies.
This is technical CAD drafting, not graphic design. The designs are not complicated and I do not think they will take a lot of time for an experienced professional.
Key requirements:
• Accurate geometry, angles, distances, and centroid (Point E) calculation
• Diagrams based on provided reference PDFs
• Clear measurements in metres and centimetres
• Perpendicular projection lines and angle annotations
• Output as vector based PDFs (A2 & A4) to strict scales
• Print accurate, 300 DPI, fonts embedded/outlined
Software: AutoCAD, DraftSight, Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar
Experience: CAD drafting, geometry, survey/technical drawings
One diagram requires custom measurements; the others follow natural scaling.

This is a technical drafting task, not graphic design. The work must be produced using CAD or equivalent vector based software suitable for precise measurement and scaling.
Project Overview
• Create 5 irregular quadrilateral diagrams using provided PDFs as references
• Each diagram includes points A, B, C, D, with Point E calculated as the centroid (centre of mass)
• All points must be joined accurately with correct angles and labelled measurements
• Diagrams will be used by contestants to physically place a stake on the ground based on the drawings
Key Technical Requirements
• Extreme accuracy in angles, distances, and centroid calculation
• Clear measurement annotations in metres and centimetres
• Distances and angles from point A to C, B, D, and E must be shown
• Perpendicular (90°) dotted projection lines from top line (Z) and bottom line (Q) to Point E
• Measurements shown along:
o Top line (Z)
o Bottom line (Q)
o Dotted perpendiculars to E
• All geometry must be mathematically correct and easy to interpret on-site
Scaling & Output Requirements
• A2 PDF (High Resolution)
o Scale: 1 cm = 1 metre (10mm = 1m)
o Saved at 100% / 1:1
• A4 PDF (Standard)
o Scale: 5mm = 1 metre
• All files:
o Vector-based (no rasterised drawings)
o 300 DPI
o Layers flattened
o Fonts embedded or converted to outlines
• Each output must be labelled to match the supplied reference PDFs
What I’m Looking For
• Proven experience with CAD drafting (AutoCAD, DraftSight, Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Strong understanding of geometry, angles, and scaling
• Experience producing print-accurate technical drawings
• Ability to work precisely from provided reference PDFs
