I need a portable windmill designed and simulated for a college project.
Key tasks:
- 3D CAD design using Fusion 360
- Rotor: 2–4 blades
- Hub
- Simple portable frame
- Deliverables: STEP/STL files
- Aerodynamic simulations:
- Airfoil analysis using XFOIL/QBlade
- BEM rotor performance:
- Power vs Wind speed
- Cp vs TSR
- 2-3 parametric variations (chord/twist/pitch)
- Optional: Simple static FEA for blade stress (if budget allows)
- Deliverables:
- CAD files (STEP/STL)
- Simulation files (QBlade/XFOIL/Python)
- Plots & results:
- Power curve
- Cp vs TSR
- Lift/Drag curves
- Short report (3–5 pages with assumptions, results, recommendations)
Ideal Skills:
- Proficient in Fusion 360
- Experience with QBlade/XFOIL and basic CFD
- Knowledge in wind turbine/aerodynamic design
