I want to turn an idea for a compact, fold-up external car cleaner into something I can actually build and use at home. The concept should stay light, easy to deploy by one person, and work on any standard passenger car. Above all, it must be effortless to operate—think click-open, swipe, rinse, stow.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A full 3-D CAD model showing the cleaner in both folded and deployed positions.
• Simple motion or FEA simulations that confirm the mechanism’s stability and the reach needed to cover a sedan or small SUV.
• A cost-minded bill of materials with retail-level part numbers so I can order everything myself.
• Assembly instructions or exploded views that let me build a working prototype in a small workshop.
• Tips or drawings for a quick proof-of-concept prototype (3-D printed joints, off-the-shelf tubing, etc.).
Feel free to use tools you’re most comfortable with—SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar—as long as I receive the native files and a neutral format (STEP/IGES) at hand-off.
