Point Cloud to Surface Model Conversion
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I will supply a clean, registered point-cloud of an existing house together with its 2D floorplan. From that data I need a reverse-engineered surface model that contains only the solid, concrete elements of the structure:
• Exterior and interior walls
• Roof planes
• All steps, split-levels and slab changes inside the rooms
Leave out everything else—no cabinetry, no windows or doors, no furniture, no fixtures.
Final deliverables
• Rhino 3dm file
• Identical STEP file, neatly layered
Model accuracy must follow the point cloud, but the base of the drawings are the floorplan dimensions.
When you place your bid, begin the first line with the words:
“I have reverse engineer point clouds before”
Bids that omit this line will be ignored. Make sure your profile already shows samples of comparable point-cloud conversions or surface reconstructions so I can verify previous experience.
Once we start, I will share the point-cloud link and the reference plan. I welcome questions that clarify tolerances, coordinate systems or any other detail that helps you deliver a precise, clean model.
