Pneumatic Device Design & Prototyping

Job ID: 40112015

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I’m taking a brand-new pneumatic concept from idea to working hardware and need a mechanically minded partner to make that happen. Your brief spans the full cycle: study comparable products for inspiration, translate the functional requirements into original concepts, model and refine the best solution in CAD, and guide it all the way to a test-ready prototype.

Along the way I’ll look to you for sound engineering judgement on material selection, tolerances, safety factors, and how to keep eventual production costs reasonable. Familiarity with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or a similar tool set is essential, as is experience specifying off-the-shelf pneumatic components, valves, seals, and fittings.

Deliverables
• Parametric 3D CAD model and assemblies
• Manufacturing-ready 2D drawings with tolerances
• Bill of materials with supplier references
• Functional prototype (bench-tested and documented)

If you can demonstrate previous success designing pneumatic or fluid-power hardware and are comfortable iterating quickly toward a manufacturable solution, I’d like to hear how you would approach this project and the timelines you foresee.
