"Plastic housing CAD design — custom earbud + accessory (3 parts)"

Job ID: 40476611

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a set of reference designs that capture the look and feel I’m after for a new pair of in-ear earbuds. What I need now is a CAD specialist who already understands the nuances of consumer-electronics enclosures—thin-wall molding, draft angles, internal snap features—so the concept can move straight toward tooling without a lengthy back-and-forth.

The focus is the outer housing only; all driver, PCB, and battery placements are already defined. Your mission is to translate my sketches and reference files into a fully detailed 3D model that balances two priorities:
• Superior ergonomics and secure fit for a wide range of ear shapes.
• Clean, premium aesthetics that align with today’s minimalist product lines.

I will supply STEP files of the internal stack-up plus photo packs and dimensional call-outs from the reference samples. You will return editable CAD (SolidWorks or Fusion 360 is ideal), a pared-down STEP for DFM review, and high-resolution renders so marketing can start early visuals.

Acceptance will be based on:
1. Seamless integration with the provided internal architecture—no clashes at final tolerance.
2. Confirmation that exterior surfaces meet the ergonomic and aesthetic targets outlined in the reference set.
3. Manufacture-ready parting lines, draft, and wall thickness suitable for injection-molded ABS/PC blends.

If you have shipped earbud or similar wearables before, you’ll likely anticipate the small but critical details (sound port geometry, mesh retention, charge-contact islands) that keep projects on schedule. Looking forward to seeing how you shape this concept into production-ready reality.
